DOB Boilers and Facades

What is an LBLVIO?

The LBLVIO is an administratively issued violation for failure to file an annual low-pressure boiler inspection. The LBLVIO carries a civil penalty of $1,000 per boiler, and was first issued in 2011 for the 2010 filing cycle.

To clear an LBLVIO, make sure that a current boiler inspection report is on file. You must also submit the total civil penalties due (along with a printout of the violation) to the below address:

Boilers Division
Department of Buildings
280 Broadway, 4th Floor
New York, NY 10007

Payment must be made out to the Department of Buildings in the form of a money order or certified check.

You can contact the boiler division at BoilersInfo@buildings.nyc.gov or (212) 393-2550 with any questions.
