What are consequences of not paying ECB-related fines?
Outstanding fines are subject to 6% interest, compounded annually. Outstanding payments may also be subject to outside collection agencies and sheriff/marshal collections. Property and named respondent searches during a transaction or a title search will also show outstanding fines.
Please note that DOB and FDNY violations tied to the ECB may appear on your property’s records, regardless of whether or not you are the named respondent.
