One of the biggest challenges for buildings on the Standard List has been how to comply with Local Law 97. Specifically, how can teams take advantage of programs, rebates, and financing that helps them meet emissions limits without breaking the bank – especially as those limits become stricter in just a few short years.
That’s why the team at Urban Green Council (in conjunction with Cadence OneFive, the Mayor’s Office of Climate and Environmental Justice, and NYSERDA) created a resource to give multifamily owners and managers on the Standard List more details into actionable, tangible compliance steps.
Their Local Law 97 Action Steps resource gives you insights into available compliance options for your property after answering three short questions:
- How many floors is your building?
- What fuel does your building use for heating?
- What utility provides your gas service?
That’s it – three questions, and you get an easy-to-understand PDF outlining potential options for your property. And if you have questions or want to take the next steps, it’s easy to schedule a meeting with your utility using the same tool.
