What is an HBLVIO?

The HBLVIO is an administratively issued violation for failure to file an annual high-pressure boiler inspection. The HBLVIO carries a civil penalty of $1,000 per boiler.

To clear an HBLVIO, make sure that a current boiler inspection report is on file. You must also submit the total civil penalties due (along with a printout of the violation) to the below address:

Payment must be made out to the Department of Buildings in the form of a money order or certified check.
