An SEP Professional Certification Compliance Audit is not a “traditional” complaint in the sense that it’s generated by a 311 call. SEP complaints are issued as audits in response to professionally certified DOB jobs. SEP complaints are put into a DOB inspector’s queue like traditional complaints, which is why they are organized in a similar way. The description area of the complaint references the job number that was professionally certified and requires certification. After the professionally certified work is inspected, the complaint will be closed.
