FDNY has several District Offices staffed by inspectors that enforce fire code regulations across NYC. District Offices are organized by borough or specific permit/equipment type.
District Office inspectors typically issue FDNY violations and track renewals/inspections for FDNY permit accounts. For additional detail on an existing Notice of Violation or Violation Order, it’s best to contact the issuing District Office directly (listed on the violation copy/printout) and reference the associated account number and violation number.
