The Department of Buildings released a Service Notice announcing the “Get Summonses Corrected” campaign. DOB’s Administrative Enforcement Unit (AEU) will be hosting a series of events to help owners, managers, individuals, and other named respondents who may be experiencing difficulties with certifying correction on DOB-OATH (ECB) violations.
Get Summonses Corrected
In the DOB’s latest Service Notice, they announced three separate events (with possibly more to come) for “named respondents who have submitted a Certificate of Correction application or need guidance on the COC process.” Attendees will be able to speak with an AEU reviewer and get specific help for any issues.
Here’s the current program schedule:
March 19th, 2024 – Queens
- AEU representatives will be at the Queens borough office for Buildings After Hours from 4 PM – 7 PM. The Queens office is located at 120-55 Queens Boulevard, Kew Gardens
- The DOB recommends you submit a Certificate of Correction via DOB NOW in advance

March 22, 2024 – Virtual
- AEU is hosting virtual sessions held at 10 AM and 2 PM for two hours each. The sessions will provide details on the process alongside a demonstration
- More information will be posted nearer to the event – we’ll update this section with links once the agency has released them
March 27, 2024 – Queens
- AEU representatives will be at the AEU borough office from 9 AM – 4 PM, with no appointment necessary
